Civil leadership workshops in Tuvalu

Our team just finished their stay in Tuvalu, where they conducted civil leadership workshops and learnt so much about the amazing people of Tuvalu and their struggle against the climate threat. Our Senior Manager, Corinne Fagueret had this to say: 'This trip has once again reinforced for me how crucial it is to foster relationships between Australian and Pacific civil society, especially in the lead-up to a jointly hosted Australia-Pacific COP31 but also well beyond that. TOGETHER WE CAN ACHIEVE SO MUCH MORE.'

We might ask to what extent they, or we ourselves, understand the consequences of following Jesus. The disciples walk with Jesus towards Caesarea Philippi a city considered to be notorious, scandalous, shocking, and decadent.

We are super excited that Aselu O’Brien, Gitty and Marion will be joining the Edmund Rice Centre for Justice and Community Education in Sydney from mid-October to the end of November. Aselu is a draftsman for the Tuvalu government and a climate advocate, Gitty is an incredible photographer and works as the comms officer for the Tuvalu Climate Action Network (TuCAN)and Marion is the climate change officer for Fusi Alofa, the main Tuvaluan organisation advocating on disability-related issues.
