An update from the Pacific

Pacific Calling Partnership would like to invite all our friends and stakeholders to a presentation on the latest PCP visits to Kiribati and Fiji. As part of the 2017 Kiribati Australia Tuvalu Exchange Program (KATEP), two members of PCP, Vincent Sicari and Ellie Johnston travelled to Kiribati together with Phil Glendenning, Director of the Edmund Rice Centre. Maria Tiimon travelled to Fiji for a strategic planning meeting of PICAN (Pacific Islands Climate Action Network).

Vincent and Ellie will describe their visit and meetings with the people of Kiribati and provide first-hand descriptions on how the inhabitants of those vulnerable islands are responding to the hardships they face as a result of climate change, while Maria will describe her meetings with PICAN, the key organisation working on strategic directions for climate action in the Pacific.

Come and join us for a BYO lunch at 12:30 pm on Monday 13th of March, to be followed by the presentation and then a question and answer session. The talk will conclude by 3pm.

If you are unable to attend, the presentation will also be recorded.
