Meet with the young climate leaders from Kiribati and Tuvalu as they share their culture and stories of resilience to climate change impacts.
In a very special event, come and join us as we welcome six young people visiting Lane Cove from the small Pacific island nations of Kiribati and Tuvalu.
Connect with the rich culture and traditions practiced by I-Kiribati and Tuvaluan communities for millennia.
Hear stories of resilience in the face of the intense impacts of our changing climate on their traditional homelands and ways of life.
Stand in solidarity with our Pacific neighbours as we contemplate how we can best respond to the climate crisis together.
This is a family-friendly event and young people (12-24 years old) are especially welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be served.
On the night, there will be a presentation and discussion forum with young climate leaders with the opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
This event is co-hosted by the Edmund Rice Centre and Lane Cove Council.
