Join us in celebrating the arrival of spring and the joyous occasion of Nawruz. This evening promises to be filled with warmth, friendship, and cultural richness.
Nawruz, a Farsi word meaning "new day," symbolizes the rebirth of nature and hibernating animals. It is widely celebrated as the first day of spring in most parts of the world, marking the year 1403 according to the Hijri Shamsi (Solar) calendar. Nawruz is a festival cherished in Afghanistan, Iran, and Central Asian countries like Tajikistan. Unfortunately, the Taliban in Afghanistan has banned the celebration of Nawruz, considering it un-Islamic.
