Sign the Petition - Stop deporting asylum seekers back to danger

The Australian Government sends back asylum seekers it doesn't think are refugees. International law says people shouldn't be sent to unsafe locations. But the Australian Government never finds out what happens to the asylum seekers they don't want.

That's why Phil Glendenning and the Edmund Rice Centre have made it their mission.

Our research into Australia's deportations has found that returning asylum-seekers to Afghanistan and Sri Lanka has produced direct and fatal consequences: for the returned asylum-seekers, or for their immediate family members. Many others have suffered threats and attacks, and today live with the well-founded fear of the very persecution they sought to escape.
