Climate change should be at the heart of any new Biketawa Plus regional security declaration, not any afterthought, according to the Edmund Rice Centre's Pacific Calling Partnership (PCP) initiative.

From January-March 2018, the Edmund Rice Centre and Pacific Calling Partnership hosted 8 leaders from Kiribati as part of the Australian Government's Australia Awards Fellowship.

As a member of the Inter-Congregational Voice on Climate Change, we helped write a submission to the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade's Inquiry into the strategic effectiveness and outcomes of Australia’s aid program in the Indo-Pacific and its role in supporting Australia’s regional interests.
