Pax Christi Australia [NSW] Inc. gives notice and invites members & interested people to its 2023 Annual General Meeting on Monday 3rd April 2023 at 6.00 pm via Zoom. We are happy to announce that Professor Clinton Fernandes will speak on the topic: "Neither Their War Nor Their Peace".

Professor Clinton Fernandes is in the Future Operations Research Group at the University of New South Wales. His research analyses the operational environment, and the threats, risks and opportunities that military forces will face, in the 2030-50 period. He is the author of Sub-Imperial Power: Australia in the International Arena (Melbourne University Press, 2022).

The talk will explore Australia's place in the emerging contours of global order. The neoliberal world order (1980-2021) has been battered by repeated financial crises, the COVID-19 pandemic, fragile supply chains, public hostility and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Meanwhile, much of the Global South seems to be adopting the path of ‘neither their war nor their peace’.

AGM begins at 6.00pm. The talk begins at 7.00pm
