Shades of Green
 It seems as though every company these days is striving to paint itself “green”, and the whaling industry is no different. In a new campaign to broaden support for whaling, the Norwegian-based High North Alliance has launched a campaign encouraging people to eat more whale meat because of its comparatively lower impact on carbon emissions compared to traditional sources such as beef. Each meal of whale, says the HNA, corresponds to 1.9 kg of carbon emissions, compared to 15.8 for beef, 6.4 for pork, and 4.6 for chicken. < Click for more> |
