Our Team
Dr John Sweeney, Leader 
John is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Business Ethics Initiative, networking with individuals and organizations involved in business ethics, on a local and international level, promoting discussion by raising questions of current interest on the website, and being available for consultation by members. John also teaches ethics, justice and social issues at the Australian Catholic University. He has a Doctorate in Theology which he gained while in Mexico where he worked for over 12 years with indigenous communities and writing and publishing materials for a Latin American public on issues concerning social justice. where he helps with event organisation as Danny has a long experience in the insurance industry, working for many years with Lloyds of London, and then international and general insurance brokering in Australia. Rice Business Ethics
Initiative. Marisa spent 6 years as a primary school teacher and then
15 years as a special education teacher in the Parramatta Diocese.
In 2005, Marisa graduated from ACU National with a Master of Education
in Human Relations and Community Education with a major in Human Rights
and Social Justice education. She is currently employed at the Edmund
Rice Centre for Justice and Community Education as the Communications
Officer. Her role involves co-ordination of the interns and volunteers,
as well as promoting all the initiatives of the centre.

member of the Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand. He
is an education officer for the NSW arm of the Association to liase its
educational efforts in schools. He also works in other educational
programs of the Edmund Rice Centre.
